From Media, PA to upstate New York to New York City.
Hometown friends Ashwin Chaudhary & Jon Korn are the creative directors of Juice Groove Films.
“For us, filmmaking is like cutting a fruit with a long blade. The fruit is the subject and the knife is the camera. A juicegroove along the edge of the cutting board collects the juicy runoff from the fruit, or the art.”
We work with a roster of talented DPs, editors, motion graphics artists and designers to extract the art from every project we undertake.
Ashwin combines a passion for storytelling and artistic expression with a love for the drama of the sports world. After studying journalism and TVRadioFilm at Syracuse University, Ashwin graduated the Newhouse School at the dawn of the digital video age. He has produced, shot, and edited content for NFL Films, the New York Jets, NBC, ABC News, Tupelo Honey Raycom and the New York Giants.
Inspired by the cerebral art of Darren Aronofsky and Richard Linklater, Jon studied Video Production in the Roy H. Park School of Communication at Ithaca College. While working as a Preditor and Motion Graphic Artist he serviced clients that included Harley-Davidson, Coca-Cola, Mars, Foot Locker and Metro PCS before quitting his ad agency to start a more efficient production company that embraces the digital-era of telling stories.
In 2010, Jon & Ashwin teamed up to form Juice Groove Films. The duo began working immediately on music videos and content for brands like Dasani and Powerade. Their first big collaboration was the acclaimed documentary LADUMA about the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, which established JG Films as a leader in the world of VICE-style video journalism in the soccer world. Since then, Ashwin and Jon have traveled to 10 countries on 4 different continents documenting the Beautiful Game while also continuing their commercial work with creative agencies and publishers of all genres.
